Since the release Windham Fabrics new fabric line "I like You" by Amy Sedaris, my mind has been twirling with countless possibilities present in these fabrics.
You can imagine my delight when two charm packs arrived in the mail!
I'd love to say I went right to work cutting and sewing the afternoon away. First,I had to play with it, stroke it [I know I can't be the only one that fondles fabric... :){it feels amazing by the way}], sort it, and stash a few pieces for a long-term project. The colors run true blending nicely among the collection.
The hardest part was deciding which idea to create. Having recently completed projects for several Blog Hops, I chose to work with those themes...and...using my time wisely,I was able to complete projects to add to the blog hops!
The first creation was a Dresden Brooch utilizing many of the fabrics. The brooch is just under 4 inches. Even working on such a small scale these fabrics pack a designers dream punch! The brooch will be 'seen again' in the Dare to Dresden Blog Hop on January 25, 2013.
Instantly upon seeing the fabric 'in person' all I could think about were children's Valentines....with the Hugs & Kisses Blog Hop rapidly approaching [taking place the week of Valentine's Day] what else could I do?
Valentine's Mug Rugs were born!
The little scotties will be popping up again during the Hugs & Kisses Blog Hop along with other projects in my post for the hop.
Yes, you can be certain more fabric from the collection,"I Like You" by Amy Sedaris will soon be on the cutting table!
Windham Fabrics has once again created a Fun Whimsical Delightful line of OUTSTANDING Fabric!

DeleteJust gorgeous all of it. I can't wait to see them up close on personal on the hops. Those fabrics are absolutely goggeous. And between us I fondel and drool over fabric and use it as eye candy .
